Hi, I am Tom – at least that is what most of my  friends call me. I use my full name as author of We Should Be One to reflect the respect that I have for the Word of God and for the honor that I have for being called to share it with the world.

I was born in the United States of America among the last of the Baby Boomers.  I married my high school sweetheart, earned a college degree in Mechanical Engineering and spent most of my life working in industry.  Today, I devote much of my time to reading and writing about the Word of God.

I am a lifelong Roman Catholic Christian and I have been active in my Church since I was young. My passion is the Word of God and I have read and reflected upon God’s Word for over 50 years. I have participated in and facilitated Bible Study and Scripture Discussion groups for many of those years; and I believe that it is due to my unwavering desire to understand God’s Word and to my never ending enthusiasm for sharing His Word that He has led me to writing.  A good friend and I were discussing my story – about how I came to write this book and she told me “I love how you light up when talking about it”.  Apparently, my enthusiasm shows.

You can read all about it in the Preface of the book, but since it is such a good story, I have included it in this website. It speaks of how I came to read a book that most Christians would never consider reading and how the reading of that book has enlivened my faith. I speak of how that book, the Holy Book of Islam has expanded my understanding of God, helped me to better understand His Word and brought me closer to Him. In addition, I share a dream that inspired me to begin writing, a dream that has made such a difference in my life that I simply have to share it.

On a more personal note (if I can get more personal)

at the lakeI play a little known musical instrument called the Hammered Dulcimer and I love playing at the lake while being immersed in God’s beautiful world.  I have a peaceful spirit and sometimes get lost in the slower, more sentimental pieces – but I’ll be  honest, some of the fast ones sure are fun to play! The instrument in this picture is one that I designed and built. It is the culmination of nearly 10 years of research and development.  It is my pride and joy. You see me here in my comfort zone – just playing for myself or anyone who walks up to listen.

I truly hope that you will enjoy reading We Should Be One: United in the Word of God and that your relationship with God and with those who love Him will flourish because of it.
